The results of the 2026 Public Services Barometer, conducted by Ifop for Acteurs publics and Casden-Banque populaire, reveal a mixed view among the French public regarding public services. While their usefulness is not in question, the majority of respondents have reservations about how they actually operate.
How the French View the 2026 World Cup
As the 2026 World Cup—co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico—kicks off, Ifop-Fiducial, on behalf of Sud Radio, surveyed the French public about their attitudes toward the tournament: their plans to watch the matches, their expectations for the French national team’s performance, and their concerns about the risk of violence on the sidelines of the event.
Reputation: The New Driver of Brand Influence
In a study conducted by Media Figaro, Sociovision, and Brain Value (part of the Ifop Group) among 1,500 French people, a major shift has come to light: reputation has now emerged as the primary driver of brand influence, ahead of image and brand awareness.
Organic Products in the Face of New Major Consumer Choices.
The survey was conducted among a sample of 2,000 individuals representative of the French metropolitan population aged 18 and over.
In addition, a booster sample of 2,000 consumers who had purchased organic products within the past 12 months was included.
The representativeness of the samples was ensured using the quota method based on gender, age, socio-professional category, and education level, with stratification by region and type of urban area.
Interviews were conducted via a self-administered online questionnaire from 22 to 28 April 2026.

The Invisible Pain: A Study of Sexual Pain and Its Impact on the Lives of French Women
67% of French women report having experienced painful sexual intercourse in 2026, a sharp increase since 1992. This pain also affects gynecological exams and intimate relationships, frequently impacting pleasure, libido, and self-esteem.
Despite their prevalence, these issues are often kept quiet and trivialized: a majority of affected women have already engaged in sexual intercourse despite the pain, and few discuss it with their partners. Seeking medical care remains limited (39%), hindered by a lack of information, shame, and the perception that this pain is normal.
6th Wave – Mastercard Barometer – Digitalization of Very Small Businesses
Very small businesses will continue to face uneven protection against cyberattacks in 2026, despite a slight decrease in exposure (11%, -3 pts). The smallest businesses are the least well-equipped, and preventive measures are declining slightly (58%, -3 pts).
At the same time, AI adoption is on the rise (42%, +7 pts), driven by business applications. However, barriers related to complexity and data security remain significant, against a backdrop of serious concerns about the rise in cyberattacks.
