Just a few days before the second round of municipal elections in Paris, Ifop-Fiducial for Paris Match and Sud Radio conducted a survey on the electoral climate in the capital.
In the second round, the municipal majority list, led by Emmanuel Grégoire, would come out on top with 46% of voting intentions. It would narrowly beat the list led by Rachida Dati, which would achieve 44% of voting intentions. Sophia Chikirou’s list, backed by La France insoumise, would garner 10% of votes cast.
A very large majority of Parisian voters (88%) said they were sure of their choice, with only 12% likely to change their mind. This certainty is particularly marked among voters on the R. Dati list (91%) and the E. Grégoire list (89%), while it is lower among supporters of Sophia Chikirou (74%).
The narrow margin between the two leading lists – just two points – illustrates the extreme uncertainty hanging over this Parisian election, whose outcome could come down to a last-minute mobilization.
