2. Entrance to secondary school appears to be a tipping point where gaps become difficult to close, reinforcing the feeling of a rapidly frozen educational trajectory.
3. Success at school is mostly attributed to student commitment and parental support in particular, reflecting the growing internalization of educational responsibility.
4. Against this backdrop, the use of extracurricular support is becoming a central lever, while at the same time revealing inequalities in access that tend to reproduce social inequalities.
5. Parents are satisfied with the school, the teachers and their own child’s level of education, but are critical of the institution as a whole.
