Ifop-Fiducial for Sud Radio and Le Figaro surveyed French people about their voting intentions ahead of the 2027 presidential election.nnJordan Bardella is in pole position (36% of voting intentions), with an unprecedented gap of 20 points over his second rival Edouard Philippe (16%).nnJordan Bardella continues to benefit from a “catch-all” electorate, performing equally well among wage earners (38%) and retirees (33%).nnEdouard Philippe (16% of voting intentions) appears to be the best-placed candidate in the central bloc and could qualify for the second round. He would be ahead of Gabriel Attal (11%), Gérald Darmanin (8%) and Sébastien Lecornu (6%).nnApart from Edouard Philippe, Bruno Retailleau would also be well placed. In the event of a common base candidate, the President of the Republicans would garner 17% of voting intentions.nnFinally, we observe a “fairly weak” left-wing gravitating around 28-31%, with two candidates standing out: Jean Luc Mélenchon (10-11%) and Raphaël Glucksmann (10-12%).
