With just a few weeks to go before the first round of municipal elections, Ifop-Fiducial conducted a survey for LCI, Sud Ouest and Sud Radio on the electoral climate in Bordeaux. In a landscape marked by the multiplicity of lists in contention, the electoral dynamic would primarily pit the outgoing municipal majority against the list supported by the central bloc and Les Républicains.

In the first round, the municipal majority list led by Pierre Hurmic would come out on top with 33% of voting intentions. Behind them, the list led by Thomas Cazenave would achieve 25%. In the wake of this duo, two candidates would stand out: the list led by Philippe Dessertine (15%) and the France insoumise list led by Nordine Raymond (12%). Further back, the Rassemblement National list led by Julie Rechagneux would garner 7% and that led by Philippe Poutou 5%.

When it comes to the certainty of their choice, almost a quarter of voters (27%) said they could still change their mind, compared with 73% who said they were sure of their vote. The degree of certainty varies from electorate to electorate: it is highest among RN (85%) and municipal majority (76%) voters, and lowest among those on the lists led by Philippe Dessertine (64%) and Nordine Raymond (67%).
