With the municipal elections just a few weeks away, Ifop-Fiducial for Sud Radio and La Dépêche asked Toulouse voters about the political climate in the Occitan capital.nnIn the first round, three lists could pass the qualifying hurdle. The “Union de la droite et du center” list, led by outgoing mayor Jean-Luc Moudenc, would garner 33% of voting intentions. This would put it ahead of the left-wing union list led by François Briançon, credited with 30%, and the France Insoumise list led by François Piquemal, which would obtain 23% of the vote. The Rassemblement National list led by Julien Leonardelli would appear not to qualify for the second round, with 7% of votes cast.nnOver two-thirds of voters (70%) said they were sure of their choice, while 30% said they could still change their mind.nnIn the event of a four-way tie in the second round, the list led by outgoing mayor Jean-Luc Moudenc would come out on top with 37% of voting intentions, ahead of François Briançon’s list (34%), François Piquemal’s list (23%), and Julien Leonardelli’s list (6%).nnIn another triangular configuration without the presence of the Rassemblement National list, the advantage would also be given to Jean-Luc Moudenc’s list (41%), without greatly altering the position of the following lists: François Briançon (35% of voting intentions), François Piquemal (24% of voting intentions).nnFinally, the scenario of a duel between the outgoing mayor and the left-wing union candidate would redistribute the balance. Some potential voters on the LFI list would switch their vote to the list led by François Briançon, putting him in the lead with 53% of voting intentions, against 47% for Jean-Luc Moudenc’s list.
