Ifop for LCI asked the French how they view Edouard Philippe as a candidate for the 2027 presidential election.
Edouard Philippe appears serious (64%), hard-working (64%), courageous (53%) and dynamic (52%) to a majority of French people, but is judged opportunistic by 59% of them.
Furthermore, 38% consider him capable of bringing the French together (versus 45% for Marine Le Pen) and 34% believe he defends the rural world (versus 52% for Marine Le Pen).
Finally, 39% of French people say Edouard Philippe has the makings of a President of the Republic (81% among those close to Renaissance, versus 40% among LFI supporters and 22% among RN supporters).
