At a time when digital technology is making its mark on the practices of wealth management advisors, limmedia has teamed up with Ifop to conduct an in-depth analysis of this trend.
We spoke to Philippe Rochereau, founder of Limmedia and Wave Online, about how his media are keeping pace with changing practices.

Philippe Rochereau

Question 1: Can you tell us about limmedia, its role among property professionals, and what led you to launch this study with Ifop?

limmedia is a B2B medium dedicated to real estate investment professionals. Its DNA lies in the organization and production of online events filmed in the studio, bringing together industry experts in themed roundtables!

Between each round table, workshop sessions are held to present investment products.

The idea for this study with IFOP stemmed from the fact that we had several intuitions about the content consumption habits of wealth management professionals, and in particular about the importance of digital. However, there was nothing documented or analytical to back up these assumptions, other than our experience in the field. We sought to challenge and confront our vision with an analytical and concrete survey of the market.

Question 2: The study highlights a professional world that is now massively digitized, with wealth management advisors seeking information every day via a variety of digital channels. How is limmedia supporting this digital transformation?

To be perfectly honest, limmedia didn’t just accompany this digital transformation, but actually anticipated it. We began producing online events on the basis of a strong belief in the new technologies for disseminating content and information, before the arrival of videoconferencing in our lives with the Covid crisis. Following the pandemic, the codes drastically changed, validating our model. We have continued to work in this direction, supporting industry professionals in their need for information, training and networking, while saving them time and money! On the strength of this success, we have even replicated the model with WAVE Online, another online medium with the same experience and dedicated to Finance.

“At limmedia, we create a unique link between expertise, innovation and community. We enable experts to remain experts, while making them engaging and building a strong relationship with their audience.”

Question 3: The results show that CGPs prefer practical, credible and embodied content, in formats such as webinars, expert articles or short videos inspired by Brut or Konbini.

In your opinion, how can industry players combine content and form to offer content that is both engaging and credible?

The problem isn’t credibility, but engagement and a sense of belonging to a community. These players are brands that have no difficulty in being perceived as experts in their sector. On the other hand, their audience is getting younger as the industry changes, and with it its customs and codes. Today, content sources and communication channels are multiplying, but our days are still limited to 24 hours. The value of a piece of content is therefore measured by the time you devote to it: if it’s engaging but not educational, you’re wasting time; if it’s educational but too institutional, you’re losing your audience.

At limmedia, we create a unique link between expertise, innovation and community. We enable experts to remain experts, while making them engaging and building a strong relationship with their audience. Our approach is based on top-quality speakers, a pedagogy tailored to CGP/CIFs, innovative content that’s off the beaten track, and genuine proximity to our partners. The result: a loyal audience, aficionados who follow us, and a brand you can feel good about!
