Reclaiming the long term: new horizons and narratives of longevity

At the Les Cercles Luxe Renaissance event, the day will open with Éric Briones and Anaïs Duquesne, who will present a prospective study conducted by Groupe Ifop on the Renaissance of luxury.

This introduction will set the stage for the day’s key questions: how is luxury evolving today? What still makes people dream? And how are we moving from a luxury centered on objects to a luxury that helps people live better?

Following on from this opening, Rémy Oudghiri and Sarah Laurier will speak on a subject that has become central: the return of the long term. In a world where everything moves fast, is consumed and forgotten quickly, they will show why longevity, memory, health and transmission are becoming strong new luxury values.

Their talk will highlight three major evolutions: the growing importance of prevention and well-being, the need for experiences that linger in the memory, and the desire to assert one’s singularity in a world increasingly marked by AI and standardization.

They will also present three ways of talking about longevity today: a longevity focused on rituals, self-care and introspection; a more technological longevity, linked to body optimization; and a longevity thought of as transmission, heritage and a link between generations.

An intervention to understand how luxury can become a means of living better, lasting longer and giving greater meaning to time.
