Helmets are a matter of course for the vast majority of French people.
According to our survey for En-velo-simone.fr, more than 8 out of 10 French people are in favor of mandatory helmet use, for both conventional and electrically-assisted bicycles (EABs).

Support is even stronger for EABs: 88% of French people are in favor, including 62% “completely in favor”, versus 84% for conventional bikes.

In a context where soft mobility continues to develop, this study highlights a strong expectation in terms of safety and prevention issues linked to the use of bicycles, particularly electric bikes.
