At a time when the international community is preparing for CITES CoP20 and current events are highlighting the intensification of global efforts against the illegal wildlife trade, the issue of biodiversity protection is becoming more important than ever in public debate. Nearly one French person in two (48%) considers that strengthening the protection of endangered species and combating wildlife trafficking is an important issue, but not a priority, and more than 4 out of 10 (43%) consider it a priority. Overall, 91% of French people consider this issue to be at least important. This concern is particularly marked among potential donors to the Fondation 30 millions d’Amis: 52% of them consider this subject a priority, compared with 34% among people not considering making a donation, which highlights the link between awareness of the issue and donation intentions.
