With the municipal elections just a few weeks away, Ifop for Ici Vaucluse, L’Echo du Mardi and La Provence asked Avignon voters about the city’s political climate.

In the first round, the Divers droite list led by Olivier Galzi would come out on top with 27% of voting intentions, ahead of the Parti Socialiste list led by David Fournier (24%) and the Rassemblement National list led by Anne-Sophie Rigault (23%). The France Insoumise list led by Mathilde Louvain would garner 16%, while the Divers list led by Stéphan Fiori would obtain 10% of voting intentions.

64% of voters said they were sure of their choice, while 36% said they could still change their mind.

In the event of a five-way tie in the second round, the list led by Olivier Galzi would maintain its lead with 29%, ahead of the Socialist list (24%). The Rassemblement National list would reach 18%, while the list led by Stéphan Fiori would advance to 15% and the France Insoumise list would remain at 14%.

In a quadrangular scenario, the list led by Olivier Galzi would reach 32%, ahead of the Socialist list (25%), the Rassemblement National list (22%) and the La France insoumise list (21%).

Lastly, in the scenario of a triangular election with a union of the left bringing together La France insoumise, the Socialist Party and their allies, led by either Mathilde Louvain or David Fournier, this list would be credited with 39% of voting intentions, ahead of the list led by Olivier Galzi at 35% and the Rassemblement national list at 26%. In this scenario, the recomposition of political forces could reverse the hierarchy of the first round, underlining the key role of alliances.
