The sharp rise in absenteeism at #work in 2022 has prompted many to point the finger at a lack of employee commitment and a growing number of absenteeism due to complacency.
Without lapsing into guilt-ridden angelism, our analysis broadens and rebalances this discourse by investigating :
- the short- and long-term causes of absenteeism ;
- the feelings and perceptions surrounding absenteeism, whether experienced directly or observed as a witness;
- the search for ways to curb this phenomenon and give fresh impetus to the voluntary initiatives seen just after the start of the health crisis.
