IFOP-Endrix, on behalf of L’Opinion, measured the popularity of the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister in June.

On the one hand, we see a slight increase in the President’s approval rating: 21% of French people say they are satisfied with Emmanuel Macron (+1 point compared to May).

The highest level of satisfaction continues to be concentrated among his electoral base: 92% of Renaissance supporters say they are satisfied (+12 points), as do 61% of his voters from the first round of the 2022 presidential election (+8 points). The highest levels of satisfaction are also seen among executives and professionals (28%), residents of the Paris metropolitan area (28%), and those aged 65 and older (27%).

At the same time, dissatisfaction remains widespread, although it has declined slightly: 79% of French people say they are dissatisfied with Emmanuel Macron (-1 point). This dissatisfaction remains particularly high among supporters of the National Rally (94%), as well as among voters for Marine Le Pen (96%) and Éric Zemmour (99%).

On the other hand, the Prime Minister’s approval rating is also rising: 32% of French people say they are satisfied with Sébastien Lecornu (+2 points compared to May), versus 68% who say they are dissatisfied (-2 points).

Satisfaction remains highest among the president’s core supporters: 85% of Renaissance supporters and 69% of Emmanuel Macron’s voters in the first round of the 2022 presidential election say they are satisfied. Supporters of Les Républicains also remain among the most satisfied (48%), despite a slight decline of 2 points. Satisfaction has increased notably among those aged 65 and older (+7 points), retirees (+6 points), employees (+6 points), and business executives (+11 points).

Conversely, dissatisfaction remains very high among supporters of La France Insoumise (86%) and the National Rally (82%), as well as among voters for Jean-Luc Mélenchon (83%) and Marine Le Pen (82%). It is rising particularly among 18- to 24-year-olds (+13 points) and other economically inactive individuals (+10 points).

Finally, the main topics of conversation among the French this week revolve around the heat wave in France (79%), the murder of little Lyhanna (74%)—which is affecting all segments of the population— rising fuel prices (68%), the allegations of sexual assault against Patrick Bruel (63%), and the World Cup (57%).

The 2027 presidential election continues to be a topic of conversation, but almost exclusively among politically engaged groups: 46% of left-leaning supporters and 43% of Reconquête/RN supporters have discussed it, compared to only 19% of French people without partisan affiliations.
