Ifop reinforces its presence in China by appointing Kevin Zhou Managing Director, China operations

Kevin Zhou joins Ifop Asia as Managing Director and partner in the Group’s subsidiary based in Shanghai.

Ifop, the independent Paris based market research group present in China since 1996 is proud to announce the hiring of Kevin Zhou as Managing Director of its China operations. In his new role, Kevin Zhou will be responsible for the management and development of all Ifop Group activities in Greater China, reporting to the Ifop Board in Paris.

Kevin joins as a partner in Ifop’s subsidiary Ifop Asia. As such, he will play an active role in defining and implementing Ifop’s development and expansion strategies within Greater China and throughout the South East Asia region.

Kevin Zhou brings 20 years of market research experience in major institutes, a deep knowledge of the China markets and consumers, acute understanding of international and local brands challenges and opportunities in the region as well as a broad network of connections throughout China’s marketing community. His affinity with the FMCG industries combined with Ifop’s strong foothold in the affluent and lifestyle categories will complement to strengthen Ifop’s position as an international boutique agency providing strong expertise in dedicated sectors: luxury, beauty, food, health and wellness.

Background – Kevin Zhou

Originated from Shanghai, Kevin started his career in 1997 and has spent all his working life in consumer research, specializing in market understanding, shopper insights, brand evaluation and product innovation. Kevin’s range of relationships with companies and brands is broad and varies from FMCG to the service sector and automotive.

Kevin’s career so far has focused on the Greater China region with experience in both mainland China and Hong Kong markets, with a reputation for having a strong marketing sense, creativeness and seeing the big picture in design and analysis.

Kevin’s past experience includes the Nielsen Group and AMI/ Synovate. His most recent role was Vice President of Ipsos China and Managing Director of Innovation & Forecasting at Ipsos China.
